REPORT ON ELECTORAL LIST REVISION – 2009

Revision of Voters’ Lists in previous years was made almost twice a year and each time 150 to 190 persons from Ardee City got registered through the RWA.

Every time the names of electors from Ardee City would be put in different sections of Voters’ Lists i.e. 145, 150, 156, 158, 159 & 160 respectively alongwith voters of surrounding colonies and Wazirabad village.

It was noted and seen during the previous elections more than 186 voters of Ardee City found their names missing in Gurgaon constituency lists. The matter was taken up with the Chief Election Commissioner, New Delhi, Chief Election Officer, Haryana, Chandigarh, D.C. and district Election Officer, Gurgaon.

Also the FORWA (Federation of RWAs) led by Shri Dharam Singh and Mission Gurgaon Development led by Shri R.S.Rathee took up the matter strongly in a meeting at Chandigarh with C.E.O., Haryana.

An enquiry committee was setup to go into the details of how the lists were missing during the Parlimentary Elections and what can be the improved way of enrolment of new voters etc.

Our demands persisted:

1. To have separate section in Voters’ List.
2. To get Voter’s Identity Cards for newly enrolled voters before the Assembly Elections.
3. Shifting of all voters from other sections to n newly allotted unified section.
4. Allotment of polling booths within Ardee City.

Hence, a survey party was assigned the job of this colony followed by 3 BLOs and 4 Enumerators led by one Supervisor, Shri Mahesh Giri, and ARO, Mr.Ghondia.

This Association had almost 8 meetings with the officials wherein 3 meetings were held alongwith FORWA and 5 meetings separately with officials concerned, D.C. Gurgaon (Mr.Kataria), Mr.Sangwan, SDM, Mr.Pankaj Setia SDM and other officials.

The Association assured them of best possible assistance and coordination.

In all 972 new voters were enrolled in the first instance and approximately 1205 voters belonging to Ardee City who were in different parts previously shifted to new part – 161 of Voters’ List.  Part 161 pertains to 077 Gurgaon Assembly Electoral List Revised and established as on 01.01.2009. Date of publication 03.09.2009, from Sl.No. 1 to 2669.  Males 1311; females 1278 (there are some deletions also). List consists of page 1 to 106.  It has all the voters of Ardee City including Residency.  Voters of Sushant Estate have been included in this list. Two polling booths in the Community Centre site of Ardee City have been allotted.

Voter Identity Cards for newly enrolled members have been received and issued as per notified schedule and those who could not collect so far may do so positively on Wednesday, September 30th 2009 between 10 AM and 4 PM from the Association office.

A few voter identity cards have not been received so far but as and when they are received the members shall be informed accordingly. Also late submitted application list MAY also appear before Assembly Elections.
