RWA Update on Actions 14-Apr-2015

• As we all know, 13th April augurs well for our farmer community, and through them, for the entire nation.  Unfortunately, this year has been somewhat unlucky due to untimely rains. However, the resilience of the country will bravely see it through. The country is today also celebrating the Dr. Ambedkar Jayanti.

• Regarding the meeting of the General Body, scheduled for April 26, 2015, it may be stated that the audited accounts for the year closing on 31st March 2014, have shown  a profit of over Rs.2.00 lakh. Some copies of the report are available at RWA office and the interested members can please go through the same.

• Regarding ratification of appointments of President and the Treasurer, rule 10(3) of our bylaws provides “any vacancy arising on account of resignation or death of any member of the Governing Body or for any other reason, may be filled-up by the Governing Body, if required, from amongst the members of the Collegium on adhoc basis till the holding of the next annual general  meeting of the Society. Such ad-hoc member of the Governing Body shall cease to be a member of the Governing Body on the date of the next annual general meeting, if his appointment is not approved in the annual general meeting by a majority vote for the balance term of the Governing Body”.

• Section 31 of the HRRS Act, 2012: Meeting of General Body or Collegium: (1) An annual general meeting of the General Body or the Collegium, as the case may be, may be held as and when required. However, at least one meeting of the General Body or the Collegium, as the case may be, shall be held in every financial year in which the annual accounts of the Society, duly audited, shall be placed before the members for adoption
