RWA Update on Actions 09-Dec-2014

We have been trying our best to keep the residents fully informed of what we are able to do from time to time.

• Regarding the court case before the District Consumer Forum, our application seeking urgent attention of the Forum so that the Management accepts bills for electricity without any hassle and also no disconnection of electricity and water supply takes place  under any circumstances will come up for urgent hearing on the 12th December, 2014, for which our lawyer will be appearing. He has been given the necessary papers. You will be happy to know that a copy of the court notice for appearance on 12.12.2014, has been hand-delivered to the Management, implying that they will also be present on that date. Now, the lawyer needs to be supplied with the notices received by our residents threatening disruption/disconnection in the supply of electricity/water, as a documentary proof of the stand taken in our application, on which the Court can take a view. Shri Arun Sharma, Treasure, has already posted this information on the system. It is once again reiterated that such notices, whosoever has received, may please be deposited   with RWA urgently.

• The Swachh Ardee Abhiyaan was launched on the 7th  December, 2014 from the Gate No.3 has been very well received and  appreciated quite a bit. More than 70 volunteers/residents/kids participated with full  vigour and zeal. Shri Ashok Kumar Yadav, our local Municipal Councilor was also a participant along with a big MCG team fully equipped with necessary infrastructure items. In future, attention would also be paid to secluded spots off the main roads. Therefore, along with main roads, the neglected spots would also look somewhat equally clean. Majority of Governing Body, the collegium members in quite a number, along with residents took full part in the initiative. It is hoped that the step will prove quite a catalytic one. RWA thanks all the residents for their efforts and would appreciate a commitment from them to extend full support to the Cultural Initiative of the RWA, so that they feel encouraged to take more and more active part in the well-being of the colony. They deserve our thanks for the time spared and the efforts made. I am sure, it must be in their mind to celebrate the New Year Day or holding some sort of Christmas Mela, etc.

• We have approached the DHVBN at appropriate levels to sort out the electric billing mess, etc. so that the system becomes transparent both in that office as well as the Ardee Management, the process of wrong bills comes to a stop and the process of refunds comes into place.

• As a result of the initiative taken by RWA even to accept electricity bills for payment, 38 such bills have been received and duly deposited and the persons concerned may collect their office copies from the RWA office. One hundred and thirty two maintenance cheques have also been received. More such cheques  are expected in the next few days, where after they will be deposited in the ESCROW Account.
