RWA Update on Actions 16-Jan-2015

• As already intimated, the elections to the vacant collegiums Nos. 3, 4, 6, 10, 13, 21. 22, 23, 25, 27, 32, 33, 36, 43, 44 and 56, along with the posts of the President and the Treasurer, are going to take place soon. The list of the voters of these collegiums is going to be finalised.  The eligible members are requested to please ensure that payment of membership charges are not in default/arrears, in order that they  are eligible to cast their votes. We are trying to put this on our website also.  The residents of these collegiums are also requested to please ensure that no body's name has been omitted. Two more days will be allowed for the residents to please do the needful and to keep the RWA duly informed in the matter.  

• It is for information of the residents that the final list of the eligible voters will be forwarded to the District Registrar, Firms & Societies, along with the information about the appointment of the Election Officer, and the request for appointing an independent observer to ensure fair elections. After the list is ready, the same will be communicated to the Election Officer, who will then proceed to invite the nominations, fix the date for the election and finally to conduct the same followed by declaration of result, etc. He will also be given a copy of the letter which goes to the District Registrar.                                                                             
• The Tahsildar (Sales) from the office of  the  Deputy Commissioner, Gurgaon, has already inspected the records relating to the purchase of sports goods by the RWA out of the grant of Rs. five lakhs sanctioned by the Haryana Govt. based on the complaint of Shri  Romesh Kumar Gupta, former President RWA.  On the same subject, the Additional Deputy Commissioner has fixed a hearing on the 19th January, 2015, and asked the President to bring all the relevant record.

• RWA is happy that the residents have enjoyed the warmth of the Lorhi function over gur-gajjak and other delicacies of the occasion with their friends and families, and is now anxiously waiting for the Republic Day function.
