Them Clones came together in 2000 in suburban New Delhi. As early as 2001, they hit the road playing the college rock circuit all over India. Some memorable gigs and tight covers of popular rock and grunge classics impress their earliest audiences. Minions begin to flock to them to partake of the secrets of their clean, glimmering guitar riffs and soaring vocals - and to know just what that name might mean. Their songs soon enough gather thousands of fans in stadiums all over the country to sing along as one. Songs like "My Life" and "Zephyretta" are instant hits.
Now big enough to be socially responsible, Them Clones played on UN International Day against drugs & illicit trafficking, all the while become crowd favourites at festivals like Great Indian Rock and Channel [V]'s Launchpad television show. They even made an appearance in a Bollywood film. Awards and glory followed. Them Clones were Band Of The Year at the JD Rock Awards in 2007. Their national gigs now include beloved and critically appreciated acoustic gigs.
All this, and an album to come in October. Them Clones continue to threaten world domination from their fun-loving, left-of-the-middle niche in suburban New Delhi.
