Minutes of the meeting held with DCP / SHO on 21-09-2012

Dear Residents,

Today morning a small delegation from the Ardee City RWA and the theft victims met the DCP East Gurgaon along with SHO of Sushant Lok. The DCP was patient in his hearing.

The RWA's letter to the DCP / SHO is attached for your reference.
The following is the list of the issues raised and his suggestions to minimise theft and prevent criminal activities.

1. That, we may put up barriers / gates / grill/ fence at various points / streets/ roads to prevent unfettered flow of all and sundry into and out of colony.
2. ALL vendors/ maids/ newspaper wallah/ garbade collector/ vege sellers/ drivers / cleaners etc etc MUST get themselves registered / got registered by the employers, with the police.
   ( At least they will be held accountable, though their verification regarding origin and domicile may still be suspect or doubtful).
3. ALL cases of thefts, stealing, pilferage or any other criminal act MUST be reported to the police in the respective police stations.)
4. Employ / depute security guards / chowkidars for 24 X 7 vigil, post-verification by the police.
5. Ensure better coordination amongst neighbours for one-anothers' protection. i.e neighbourhood watch best-practices.
6. All gates must be manned properly and effectively. Gates should be opened partially ( One side only) and the respective security staff MUST mandatorily check and register the vehicle' number from the licence plates.
7. The gates to remain open during the day but mnay be closed during night.
8. Residents should take logical and sufficient precautions to keep their movement as secretive as possible. e.g.
   
   
   1. NOT to inform the newspaper walla NOT to give you the newspaper while you are out for a short / long holiday. KEEP TAKING THE NEWSPAPER AND REQUEST YOUR NEIGHBOUR UPSTAIRS / DOWNSTAIRS TO COLLECT THE NEWSPAPERS WITH THEM.
   2. Hide info from the garbage collector about your absence, short / long.
   3. Take your maids / car cleaners into confidence reg your absence / holiday. Hold them responsible if they leak this info to anyone.

The DCP promises to increase police presence in the colony.
